I was stressed out, and living in the city, but nature and open, green spaces, always helps to calm me down. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I made the game generate a random plant based upon a random word. It was super rough, and didn't look great, but I was just making it to take my mind off things.I showed this little game to a few people, and it seemed to connect with them. I noticed that people would always do very similar things the first time that they played. They would type in their own name, their pets name, loved ones etc, to see what kind of plant would grow. It was amazing to see them connect the plant to the person. Maybe the plant was very chaotic and messy, which made them think of their cat, or tall and graceful like their partner.I saw this happen with enough different people to convince me that I should turn this idea into a full game. Beat the whole game in 2 hours, not worth the $7, would buy it on sale. Was pretty disappointing and repetitive. Honestly was expecting a lot more customization and other things but you literally just do the same thing again and again.. I'm definitely having fun discovering the different plants. The art style is simple and cute and I enjoy the overall atmosphere. The only downside is when my mouse disappears from the screen- even after I his esc to do the quick fix there are still issues. Specifically I mean that I am no longer able to select my seeds even after this quick fix. I would also love if there was a seperate slider for music volume vs ambient sounds.. What a wonderful game! A lot of fun for a plant fanatic like me. It's still a little buggy (I clicked to go back while the camera was still moving towards the shelf of pots, and it got stuck there in mid-air), but that's to be expected from a newly-released game.The concept is very nice and very well executed, in my opinion. With this and Viridi in my game library, my digital plant life is complete!. Very cute, fun\/relaxing game! Always exciting picking a word and seeing what that seed will grow into. I can't wait to see how the game evolves with future updates :)
